My first designs are for the German side, Borussia Mönchengladbach. The North-Rhine Westphalia club have 5 Bundesliga titles to their name, and during the late 1960s and 1970s were one of Europe's top sides. The team are nicknamed 'Die Fohlen', meaning 'The Foals' and are based in Borussia-Park.
HOME
Unlike other clubs I have done home shirts for, it was easier to be creative with Gladbach's. Bearing resemblance to the Netherlands' Away for 08/09, it instead has the clubs colours of green, white and black. I have featured a motto the club has on their website for this year, which is ''110 Jahre Borussia, 110 Prozent Fussball'' which means ''110 Years of Borussia, 110 Percent Football''. Apart from the green collar, the shirt has mainly black trim.
AWAY
Based on an Atletico Madrid shirt but in Mönchengladbach's colours, this is also quite a simple shirt. It bares mainly white trim.
THIRD
Another unusal shirt, using the colour blue which has absolutely no relevance to Borussia. Other than this it has white trim and has a watermark on the bottom right, and like the home says ''110 Jahre Borussia, 110 Prozent Fussball'' .
